Grupo Telecentro operates and propagates the Canal 26. The Buenos Aires based cable television provider manages the programming and broadcasts of the Canal. It emits the transmissions mainly from La Matanza Partido, however some programs are also aided via other studios. The channel was initially intended to be a variety channel upon its launch in Mid 90’s however; it soon was transformed into a full-fledged news channel with a very short share of music and special interest shows. The News TV can be seen on channel 4, 11 and 26. The UHF option also tunes the Canal in some parts of the capital using channel 26.
