IRINN is a product of IRIB – Islamic Republic of Iran News Network which was founded in 1926 (Radio launch) followed by television in 1958 and further incorporated in 1966. One of the largest media network in Asia-Pacific region the network has more than 1200 employees and 45 branches in 45 countries around the world with offices and bureaus in France, UK, US, Belgium, Malaysia and the rest.

IRINN abbreviating Islamic Republic of Iran News Network is one of the 8 domestic channels; broadcasting largely in Persian however, there are some special programs in Arabian and English viewership. The programming includes a large representation of domestic stories and issues. However, comparatively fair accounts of current affairs featuring different international scenarios are also covered by the channel. Sports feeds, educational and cultural itemization are also carried by the national news channel of the Iranian Republic. The sisters of the channels are as many as 30 provincial television channels. Subsidiaries of the channel include twelve radio stations and 30 foreign radio streams catering various audiences from the diverse regions. Jamm-e Jam is a print subsidiary of the national broadcasting service.
