On Friday, Joe Biden, the President of America, announced further $150M security and military aid for the brave people of Ukraine in the form of additional radars and artillery ammunitions as they continue to energetically defend their survival against Moscow’s brutal assaults.

In a statement by President Biden on additional security aid to Ukraine, he said that the U.S. had provided a historic amount of military support to Ukrainian people and forces at a rapid pace. They’re sending them arms and military equipment that the U.S. Congress has approved directly to the frontlines of freedom in the post-Soviet state. American support, together with the aids from their Allies worldwide, has been grave in assisting Ukrainians to win the ‘fight of Kyiv’ and block Kremlin’s war objectives in Zelenskyy’s Ukraine.

Antony J. Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, said in a press statement that pursuant to a delegation from the American President, he’s approving a drawdown to offer additional direct security aid to Kyiv, valued at equal to a USD 150M worth of more weapons and other equipment from the United States Defense Department inventories.

Furthermore, since 2021, this approval is the 9th U.S. drawdown of supplies, weapons, and military equipment from DOD inventories for Zelenskyy forces in their fight against Russian aggression. And this makes whole American aid to the embattled country to approximately USD 3.8 Bn in arms and ordnance since Moscow launched its unprovoked large-scale incursion of Ukraine more than two months ago.

Blinken added that the U.S. would continue to deliver the security equipment to brave people and forces of Ukraine, which they’re using productively in defending their land and gaining freedom of their fellow nationals. Along with security support, they’ll also continue to offer direct economic and financial support to the former Soviet republic, support for documenting evidence of Moscow’s atrocities against innocent civilians in Ukraine, and actions to continue escalating the pressure on Russia’s disintegrating economy.

According to the White House official, the new security assistance package includes twenty-five thousand 155mm artillery shells, counter-battery radars, electronic jamming equipment, military tactical and field gear, and spare parts. In addition, the latest military aid package follows the Biden’s USD 33B proposal recently to the United States Congress to assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine. America has made it apparent it aims to offer continuing help to Kyiv and has already provided the brave Ukrainians with massive support in security, economic and food, and humanitarian aid.

That projected aid package was almost 2.4fold the USD 13.6B addition of security aid plus humanitarian support that the US governing body passed in April.

According to the White House, on Sunday, the leaders of the Group of Seven (G-7) nations, including the American President, will hold a virtual meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, before anticipated Victory Day celebrations in Russia, which takes place each year on 9th of May.
