The rescue teams resumed the search operation at Surfside condo collapse and found three more bodies in the debris on Monday. It brings the total confirmed death numbers to twenty-seven. Whereas the workers demolished the remaining parts of the building overnight. At around local time 10:30 pm on Sunday, explosives brought down the rest of the partly collapsed twelve-story building in Surfside that primarily ground on 24th June.

Videotape of the managed collapse showed the structure falling and creating plums of smoke and dust. Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said that using a technique called “energetic felling,” the rescue members worked small but intelligent, strategically placed explosives and depends on gravity to bring down the building in place. As a result, the officials suspend the search-and-rescue efforts during the managed demolition.

Before the demolition of the condo, the authorities informed the residents of its surrounding buildings, and they told them not to evacuate but stay indoors and shut down their air conditioners because of dust. Still, the investigators are unable to find the reason for the forty-year-old building to collapse. But a 2018 engineering report found structural deficiencies in the building that are now the focus of investigations that include a magnificent jury examination.

Officials said they told all residents of another building, i.e., Crestview Towers in north Miami Beach, to leave instantly because engineers found serious electrical and concrete problems. It is around seven miles north of the Surfside building that collapsed last week, and it is around a fifty-year-old building.
