Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell arrested for being part of the sex-trafficking ring

Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell who allegedly helped him for procuring and grooming the young girls was arrested by police on Thursday and charged by federal prosecutors for her role in sexual abuse, recruiting and grooming of underage girls in the sex-trafficking ring. According to the complains minors as young as 14 were victims of the abuse by Epstein and his onetime girlfriend in a years-long criminal enterprise.

Maxwell, 58 who was being tracked by federal agents was nabbed Thursday morning in Hampshire and charged with 6 criminal counts which include enticement and conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, transportation and conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and two counts of perjury as per federal indictment revealed on Thursday.

According to the records of indictment, “Maxwell between 1994 and 1997, assisted, facilitated, and contributed to Jeffery Epstein’s abuse of minor girls by, among other things, helping Epstein to recruit, groom, and ultimately abuse victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under the age of 18.”

Maxwell in collusion with deceased multimillionaire was accused of enticing the teenage girls and transporting them to an array of locations, including Epstein’s Upper East side mansion, Santa Fe ranch, Palm Beach estate as well as Maxwell’s residence in London, England.

Maxell was arrested by federal authorities in Bradford, New Hampshire nearly a year after the arrest of Epstein in NY who was landing US in a private jet on return from Paris.

Maxwell during a teleconference appearance in New Hampshire federal court appealed for a detention hearing which was accepted after the judge ordered for her remand to custody of the US Marshals Service; she will be subsequently moved to New York for a detention hearing service.

Lawrence Vogelman, Maxwell’s attorney declined to comment. The lady once linked with Epstein has previously denied wrongdoing and in one of here depositions called one of her accusers a liar. She may serve a 35-year-jail-term if convicted successfully on the most serious charges.

Her whereabouts were not known and were a subject of speculation after the arrest of her deceased boyfriend last summer the FBI New York AD in Charge William Sweeney in a news conference on Thursday said that authorities have “been discretely keeping tabs” on her adding that they took action after learning that she moved to a Sprawling property in New Hampshire.  The indictment was field under seal on June 29, 2020.

The prosecutors in the court requested the judge that the alleged offender be detained pending trial adding that she had been hiding out in different locations around New England for the past year, changing her cell number and email address and ordering packages with fabricated names to escape the arrest looming on her. Prosecutors traced 15 different bank accounts with the at large offender holding as much as USD20mn.

The British socialite is a daughter of Robert Maxwell, a deceased magnate involved with the news publishing business. Federal prosecutors were seeking the arrest of Epstein’s girlfriend after his under-custody suicide ahead of trial in August 2019. Prosecutors have charged the American socialite of running a trafficking ring in which he distributed hundreds of dollars in cash to girls as young as 14 to have sex with him at his Upper East Side home and his estate in Palm Beach. The notorious financier also paid some of his victims to lure and recruit other girls for him to abuse. Since Epstein’s death through suicide public is demanding to investigate, prosecute and charge Maxwell and a host of other young women who facilitated the abuse of other women. The Brit and other women have been named in multiple lawsuits by the victims of Epstein abuse.
