The first wife of former United States Republican President Donald Trump, Ivana Trump, died on Thursday at age 73. She was the mother of his three oldest children (Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric) and helped her husband build some signature buildings, such as Trump Tower. In a private post on the social media platform Truth Social, the former president said he was saddened to inform her fans that Ivana Trump passed away at her home in New York City.

Trump wrote that she was a beautiful, amazing, and wonderful woman who led a remarkable and inspirational life. Two sources knowing the matter told CNN News that police are probing whether Ivana fell down her home’s stairs and believe her death was accidental. The local police stated that Trump’s ex-wife was unconscious near a staircase in her home. However, the medical examiner’s office will determine an official cause of death.
Eric Trump, her son, wrote on Instagram that his mother was a world-class athlete force in business and a caring mother and friend. Likewise, Ivanka Trump noted that her mother was charming, passionate, and brilliant. She was heartbroken by her mother’s passing and will miss her forever and keep her memory alive in their hearts. She added that Ivana Trump forwent an opportunity to laugh and dance.
