United States President Trump and his predecessor, Barack Obama have exchanged blows as they appeared in rival rallies. Present in Pennsylvania for Trump Democratic challenger and his former VP Joe Biden, Obama compared Trump to a “crazy uncle” and said he gives life to racists and stokes racism in the country.
The Republican in North Carolina scoffed Obama for being wrong with his predictions about the results of 2016 elections in which he prevailed against Hillary Clinton. With 13 days remaining in the November’s election, Biden maintains a solid lead in the opinion polls. But the margin is not big in a number of swing states that would be very crucial in deciding the final outcome. In Early voting, 42 million Americans have casted the vote either through postal ballots or in person.
Trump’s talk in Pennsylvania rally
Trump landed the shots on Democratic White house nominee during his rally in Gastonia on Wednesday evening. Addressing the voters, he said they have to choose between a “Trump super-recovery” or a “Biden steep depression”.
While the GOP President is training his fire by visiting the key battleground states, Biden is taking a mini-break from the campaign trail this week to prepare for the final NBC presidential debate on Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee.
The President could not stop himself from directing a blistering barb to former President Obama who was recording a return to campaign trail after a gap of nearly two months; he last appeared in the Democratic political conventions to endorse his former deputy.
“There was nobody that campaigned harder for crooked Hillary Clinton than Obama, right?” Trump told attendees, who booed the mention of his old foes. “He was all over the place.”
The Republican added: “I think the only one more unhappy than crooked Hillary that night was Barack Hussein Obama.”
Trump also took a jab at Obama for being not available to support Biden, in the race initially, who was his VP from 2009 to 2017. In 2016, Obama reportedly pressed Joe Biden to opt out of the race believing Hillary Clinton might be having a good shot at it. Last year, Obama said the Democratic leadership needs a “new blood”. The remark was widely considered as Obama’s non-approval for the septuagenarian.
Trump described by Obama
After blasting Trump for his weak response on COVID-19 and being inept on the economic front, the former Democratic President took the Trump to cleaners at a drive-in rally in Philadelphia.
He said if Mr. Biden won, “we are not going to have a president who goes out of his way to insult anybody who does not support him, or threaten them with jail. That’s not normal presidential behavior.”
Delivering a scathing rebuke of Republican, the 44th President took Trump to task saying that there is not much he would change to stem COVID-19 that is still active in US, resulting in 221,000 fatalities.
“Really? Not much? Nothing you can think of that could have helped some people keep their loved ones alive?” Obama, who came on stage wearing a face mask bearing the world “Vote.”
“Joe’s not going to screw up testing. He’s not going to call scientists idiots. He’s not going to host a super spreader event at the White House. Joe will get this pandemic under control,” Obama said of the man he chose to be his vice president 12 years ago.
He then lacerated another attack on the Republican citing the report published by New York Times revealing the latter maintains a bank account in China.
“Listen, can you imagine, if I had had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for reelection?” Obama said. “You think Fox News might have been a little concerned about that? They would have called me Beijing Barry.”

Not willing to stand, Obama bashed the 45th WH inmate for the taking the credit where it is not due. He said “this President wants full credit for the economy he inherited and zero blame for the pandemic he ignored.”
Obama who sits among the stalwarts of Democratic party, said American voters would not tolerate such conduct from a family member, “except for maybe a crazy uncle somewhere”.
“Why are folks making excuses for that?” he said. “Oh, well that’s just, that’s just him. No, it’s… no! There are consequences to these actions.”
“They embolden other people to be cruel. And divisive. And racist. And it frays the fabric of our society.”
He added: “That behavior matters. Character matters.”
He said that Trump has given succor to racists and bigots while using the biggest office in United States and lend his support to Biden and his running mate California Senator Kamal Harris saying they duo had the plan to relieve America of the current mess. The Democrat tried to hit the Republican hard for his false promises to come up with a reformed Obamacare.
“It’s been coming in two weeks for the last 10 years. Where is it?”
And he raised his hope that a Biden-Harris White House may bring some serene and harmony after four years of upheaval.
“With Joe and Kamala at the helm, you’re not going to have to think about the crazy things they said every day … It just won’t be so exhausting. You might be able to have a Thanksgiving dinner without having an argument.”
The former Democratic President will next stump in Miami, Florida on Saturday and then Orlando in the following week.
