Authorities said that a fifteen-year-old boy killed three students and eight injured in a deadly high school shooting Tuesday afternoon at Oxford, Michigan. Police arrested the culprit after the incident. At a press conference, Mike McCabe, the Oakland County Undersheriff, said that he did not know the motives for the fatal attack at Oxford High School, a community of around twenty-two thousand people approximately forty-eight kilometers (thirty miles) north of Detroit.

McCabe said police officers responded at about 12:55 pm to several 911 calls around an active shooter at the school. Security authorities arrested the teen at the school and recovered a semi-automatic handgun and many clips.
