Pence warns Americans to not vote for Biden in Convention

United States VP Mike Pence has cautioned the Americans that COVID-19 will spread in US cities if Democratic challenger Joe Biden wins the WH in November.

“The hard truth is you won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America,” said vice-president in a keynote address during Republic convention. Trump’s deputy urged the voters to choose between law and order and lawlessness. He was addressing the convention amid nightly protests following the shooting of African-American by Wisconsin police on Sunday.

“The American people know we don’t have to choose between supporting law enforcement and standing with African-American neighbors to improve the quality of life in our cities and towns,” said former Indiana governor. He lambasted Biden for conceding that there is an implicit bias against minorities and systemic racism in the country.

“Joe Biden would double down on the very policies that are leading to unsafe streets and violence in America’s cities,” Pence said.

The 3rd night of the Republican national convention was celebrated with the theme of “Land of Heroes”, and the VP spoke to the Republicans from the Baltimore’s Fort McHenry which was used to defend the city against the British in the War of 1812, the event inspired Francis Scott Key to pen the national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner.

Hours before Trump deputy decided to speak, the NBC, Major League Soccer and Women’s National Basketball Association called for boycott of their corona-hit seasons after some players refused to appear for the play in the aftermath of Kenosha shooting.

Mr. Pence blasted the Biden after 3 people were shot, 2 fatally during the protests on Tuesday over the police shooting of Jacob Blake. The police officer named in the shooting of the Blake, 29, a Kenosha resident has been named but the protests didn’t stop and the unrest has now entered the third consecutive night. (https://wbctx.com/) The VP however, ceased to make a mention of the incident that triggered the people to protest that have once again flooded the streets nationwide.

President Trump on Wednesday announced that he would dispatch the federal agents to Kenosha to quash the unrest after contacting Wisconsin’s governor. US Department of Justice said a federal civil rights investigation has been launched to gather the facts in the shooting of black man.

Joe Biden with his running mate Senator Kamil Harris on Wednesday spoke to Blake’s family. The Kenosha man, hit in the back from close range survived the shooting but is currently paralyzed from the waist down.

Mr. Biden said in a video posted by his campaign: “Put yourself in the shoes of every black father and black mother in the country, and ask: Is this what we want American to be? Is this the country we should be?”

The Democrat added: “Protesting brutality is a right and absolutely necessary, but burning down communities in not protest. It is needless violence.”
