On Thursday, the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), almost 75 percent of US Seniors (age 65 and above) get fully immunized against coronavirus disease, which killed over 450000 seniors in the past fifteen months. And 86 percent seniors received at least one vaccine dose.

Around 41M US seniors were fully protected as of June 3, which means either they have received one dose of Janssen/J&J vaccine or two shots of Moderna and Pfizer’s jab.

About 1.4M inhabitants of medical care centers have been fully inoculated against coronavirus, along with more than one million staffers.
Death Rate for COVID Patients aged 85 and above is Higher
Additional 6M US population aged 65 and above are partially inoculated with just one Pfizer/Moderna doses.

According to the US CDC, almost 0.464 million American seniors, representing about 80 percent of America’s death toll, died of coronavirus disease since the epidemic hit. Moreover, according to the statistics from CDC for Medicaid Services, at least 0.132M inhabitants of long-term healthcare facilities have passed away.

Every US state levied somewhat different vaccine eligibility rules when coronavirus vaccines were initially rolled out in 2020. Vaccine hesitancy varies regionally, so some states reported higher senior immunization rates than others. Vermont has fully inoculated almost 91.5 percent of its seniors, whereas only Utah has immunized its 59.6 percent seniors.
