President Trump’s two sons have issued a rebuked to fellow Republican for failing to present and fight their father’s case as he faced a cliff-hanger re-election bid against Biden who is now in a good position to conquer the White House. Trump’s eldest son Don Jr. alleged the party of being ‘weak’ while his brother Eric warned: “Our voters will never forget you if your [sic] sheep”.

The spat with the GOP-fellows shows the emerging rift between President disciples and his party. The election still hangs in a nice balance but trends show Biden appearing to closing on the Republican one of the bitterest election-campaigns the country has ever seen. Trump has already knocked at the doors of the courts filing a barrage of lawsuits to challenge the irregularities and lack of transparency in the elections. However, he has failed to present any evidence to substantiate his claims of widespread voter fraud. Senior Republicans including Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Senator Mitt Romney from Utah have warned the President of undermining the electoral system and creating fault-lines in the democratic process.

Don Jr. registered admonished the Republican comrades and presidential run-hopefuls for 2024 in his very own words posted on twitter: “The total lack of action from virtually all of the ‘2024 GOP [Republican] hopefuls’ is pretty amazing.

“They have a perfect platform to show that they’re willing & able to fight but they will cower to the media mob instead. Don’t worry @realDonaldTrump will fight & they can watch as usual!”

He was responding to Mike Cernovich – a staunch Trump supporter and a men’s rights activist – who criticized former Un ambassador and a Republican, Nikki Haley. The former diplomat under Trump administration is widely thought to be ruffling the feathers for a WH race in 2024.

Trump Jr continued: “Republicans have been weak for decades which has allowed for the left to do these things.”

His brother, Eric, tweeted: “Where are Republicans! Have some backbone. Fight against this fraud. Our voters will never forget you if your [sic] sheep!”

The two men went on to name and praise and lauded the Republicans that were vocal and remain steadfast in defense of their father. Other from the Trump camp also took a jab at Haley in particular. Florida congressman, Matt Gaetz, tweeted: “While some of us are fighting for President Trump… Nikki Haley is eulogizing him. Sad!”

During his four years in WH, Trump has managed to woo the Republicans and has successfully garnered 90% approval ratings from self-identified members in the party. The party manifesto this year was scrapped and replaced by a pledge to “support the president’s America-first agenda”. This latest spat between Trump and the party establishment will determine which direction the party head in after the departure of firebrand President, whether that happens now in 2020 or 2024.
