U.S. to Provide Medical Supplies for Vaccine to Help India

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, said on Sunday that his government would instantly send raw materials for coronavirus vaccines, protective gear, and medical equipment to help India as the country is facing a massive surge in COVID-19 infections. Biden Tweeted after the announcement of the list of measures from the White House said that just as India sent assistance to America as U.S. hospitals strained early in the coronavirus pandemic. Now they determined to help India in its time of need.

Emily Horne, the National Security Council, said that the American officials working day and night to deliver available supplies and resources to help India manufacture the Covishield vaccine and aiming to a huge number of Indians who are sick with the virus and dying. America will also send ventilators, instant diagnostic test kits, and therapeutics. Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, urged all nationals to exercise caution and receive vaccination, as the country set a world record for new coronavirus infections in a single day.

The U.S.A Intended to Provide India with Medical Supplies

The U.S. also intended to deliver India with oxygen generation and related medical supplies, according to Horne. Ro Khanna, the United States Representative and Democratic vice-chair of the Congressional India Caucus, greeted the announcement from the American government but urged the U.S. President to go with additional moves and give India the U.S.’ unused coronavirus vaccines doses from AstraZeneca Plc. Further, he adds that let’s use the American military and send as many AstraZeneca doses and oxygen to India as the government can.

FDA Didn’t approve AstraZeneca’s Vaccine in the United States
