United States President Joe Biden called for unity as his country remembers the 11th September attacks’ victims. Biden paid tribute to the 2977 people who lost their lives in the terror attacks. On the eve of the 20th anniversary, he said in a video that the country honored all those emergency responders who risked and gave their lives in the minutes, hours, months, and years later.
20 years after September 11, 2001, we commemorate the 2,977 lives we lost and honor those who risked and gave their lives. As we saw in the days that followed, unity is our greatest strength. It’s what makes us who we are — and we can’t forget that. pic.twitter.com/WysK8m3LAb

The government decided to hold memorial events on Saturday. Biden said that no matter how much time passed, these commemorations bring everything painfully back. The president acknowledged the darker forces of human nature – violence and anger against Muslim Americans, anger and fear that followed the attacks, but said that unity had remained the country’s greatest strength. Biden further added that they learned that unity is the one thing that must never break.
Al-Qaeda from Afghanistan planned the attacks, saw four United States passengers’ aircraft by suicide attackers – two of which hit into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in the U.S. Another aircraft hit the Pentagon just outside Washington DC, and a 4th aircraft crashed in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers fought back. Joe Biden also planned to lead commemorations on Saturday and visit the three attack sites with Jill Biden, the first lady. (https://store.spaceylon.com)
