The White House revealed the Supreme Court team to help with the confirmation process of the final nominee for President Joe Biden. The ex-Senator Doug Jones led the team as nomination adviser and two expert Democratic communicators. Ben LaBolt, who served as White House and campaign spokesperson for former Democratic President Barack Obama, and Minyon Moore, who served as director of White House political affairs for former Democratic President Bill Clinton, will also be on the team.
Moore will be nominee adviser for engagement with responsibilities for developing support with external groups, and LaBolt will be nomination adviser for communications. Furthermore, the White House officials team advising the president on his selection includes White House chief of staff, Ron Klain, White House senior adviser Cedric Richmond, Vice President Kamala Harris, Director of Legislative Affairs Louisa Terrell, and a lawyer in the counsel’s office, Paige Herwig.
Other Names in the Nominees List
The president still not named his choice to replace the high court Justice Stephen Breyer, who announced his retirement and expected to retire this summer. Instead, Biden vowed to appoint the first Black woman for a seat of Supreme Court. J. Michelle, the United States District Justice, is the only individual the White House publicly said to be in the running for a candidate to the designation of Breyer.

California Supreme Court Judge Leondra Kruger and Ketanji Brown Jackson are other names under discussion, serving as the Federal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. At present, Moore is a principal at public affairs company “Dewey Square Group” and is the ex-chief operating officer of the Democratic National Committee. Previously, she served as an adviser on the 2008 presidential campaign of former president Hillary Clinton.
LoBolt served as the spokesperson for the White House on the team to confirm Justices Elena Kagan and Sona Sotomayor during the Obama government. LaBolt is a partner at Bully Pulpit Interactive, a public affairs firm, and served as communications director for Rahm Emanuel. On Tuesday, Jen Psaki, the White House Press Secretary, said that the White House aimed to have a team before president Biden made a candidate selection.
